Welcome to The Kemnay Medical Group Website
Covid Vaccinations for Patients Over 80 years.
***Update 21.01.2021 - We have been advised that vaccinations for the Over 80s population should be with us in the next few days. We aim to be contacting all our over 80s patients between Friday 22nd January and Monday 25th January, to arrange an appointment which will be at the Village Hall next week. In order to keep the phone lines free for medical emergencies, please do no call the surgery to arrange an appointment, we will be working through a list and will contact you. Housebound patients will not be contacted by our admin team, but will be organised with the patient by the community nursing team. Please note that these vaccinations will be by appointment only and we are unable to accept walk in patients from other age groups***
Covid vaccinations are being organised in Grampian by the local health and social care partnerships (HSCP). The Aberdeenshire HCSP has asked local GP practices for assistance to vaccinate the over 80s cohort, (DOB prior to 31.03.1941) and like most practices in the area, we have agreed to help to get the vaccine programme started as soon as we can. The dates of these clinics are entirely dependent on delivery of vaccine stocks, the timing and order of these is decided by the HSCP not by the individual practices. We are aware many of our neighbouring practices have received their stock so are able to start booking appointments. At the moment Kemnay medical practice has not been given a date for delivery so we are unable to give any information as to when we can start. This is completely out with our control and rests with the Aberdeenshire HSCP. As soon as we have a date we will contact patients in the over 80 group. As per NHS Grampian advice, please do not contact the practice directly so it leaves phone lines free for those who need medical attention. Thank you for your patience at this time and we look forward to seeing our Over 80s very soon.
Important Information - In an attempt to reduce footfall within the surgery during the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, all appointments with a GP will be dealt with via the phone in the first instance and if required the Doctor will arrange a time directly with you to attend the surgery.
IF YOU NO LONGER NEED YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE CANCEL IT SO THAT ANOTHER PATIENT CAN USE IT. EACH MONTH WE LOSE ABOUT TWO SURGERIES WORTH OF APPOINTMENTS AS PATIENTS FAIL TO TURN UP/ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND DO NOT CANCEL THEIR APPOINTMENT.
We’ve packed our website full of useful information in what we hope is an easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us.

Can We Help You?
Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the building.
A loop system for people with a hearing difficulty is fitted in some areas of the building - do let us know if you want to use it.
Language Line is available to patients who are not fluent in the English language.
Over the years we have had numerous donations to the Community Donations Account. This money is used to purchase equipment to help with patient care and sometimes this means that patients do not have to go to hospital as can be treated at home. If you have been given a piece of equipment it is planned that this loan is for a limited period of time eg nebuliser or Omron BP machine. PLEASE RETURN THESE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT TO THE SURGERY AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.We always have patients waiting to use these items and to keep them for a prolonged length of time means that treatment is being delayed for others. Unreturned items will be invoiced to the patient.
