Welcome to The Kemnay Medical Group Website
Appointments as we move into level 0
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make the surgery as safe as possible for all our patients and staff. We will continue to do so going forward.
From the 19th July Scotland moves into Level 0 but nothing will change at the surgery - patients will still need to wear a mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser in the surgery and staff will continue to wear PPE. We do understand that it can be frustrating but we know that when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable (and some cannot receive the covid vaccinations due to medical reasons) so we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions that can protect people.
In terms of opening up, as many of you know, we have never been shut and in fact have consulted with much higher numbers of patients than we did pre-covid (face to face and by phone).
The Kemnay Community has come so far in trying to minimise the impact of Covid and we are sure you understand that we need to keep the surgery as safe for ALL patients as we can.
Important Information - In an attempt to reduce footfall within the surgery during the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, all appointments with a GP will be dealt with via the phone in the first instance and if required the Doctor will arrange a time directly with you to attend the surgery.
IF YOU NO LONGER NEED YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE CANCEL IT SO THAT ANOTHER PATIENT CAN USE IT. EACH MONTH WE LOSE ABOUT TWO SURGERIES WORTH OF APPOINTMENTS AS PATIENTS FAIL TO TURN UP/ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND DO NOT CANCEL THEIR APPOINTMENT.
We’ve packed our website full of useful information in what we hope is an easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us.

Can We Help You?
Wheelchair access is available at the rear of the building.
A loop system for people with a hearing difficulty is fitted in some areas of the building - do let us know if you want to use it.
Language Line is available to patients who are not fluent in the English language.
Over the years we have had numerous donations to the Community Donations Account. This money is used to purchase equipment to help with patient care and sometimes this means that patients do not have to go to hospital as can be treated at home. If you have been given a piece of equipment it is planned that this loan is for a limited period of time eg nebuliser or Omron BP machine. PLEASE RETURN THESE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT TO THE SURGERY AS SOON AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN.We always have patients waiting to use these items and to keep them for a prolonged length of time means that treatment is being delayed for others. Unreturned items will be invoiced to the patient.
